  9. BSD SpecLink is an interactive, "knowledge-based" 
  10. specification writing and management system.  
  11. SpecLink is designed to allow the design professional 
  12. to prepare specs directly on the computer without 
  13. using word processing.  The database is derived from 
  14. SPECTEXT(r), the Construction Sciences Research 
  15. Foundation's guide specification product, with 
  16. modifications to achieve consistency of format and 
  17. to bring individual sections up to date.  Updates to 
  18. the program and database are supplied to subscribers 
  19. on a quarterly basis and the updates never overwrite 
  20. the user's edits.  More information about BSD SpecLink

  23. BSD CostLink is a powerful, easy-to-use professional 
  24. cost estimating and database management system for 
  25. construction cost data.  It supports user-definable work 
  26. breakdown structures, project templates, cost categories, 
  27. contractors, foreign currencies and metric measurements.  
  28. CostLink provides an easy drag-and-drop interface to 
  29. commercial databases, as well as the U.S. Army Corps of 
  30. Engineers cost database, which is included at no extra 
  31. cost.  CostLink is the Windows successor to BSD's 
  32. Composer Gold system and a subset of CostLink is licensed 
  33. to the Department of Defense as MCACES for Windows. More

  37. Both BSD SpecLink and BSD CostLink can be installed for 
  38. limited use for evaluation purposes without payment of 
  39. a fee.  Simply choose the appropriate option during Setup.  
  40. Installation for evaluation is the same as installation 
  41. for full use.
